Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Central Okanagan, warning of gusty winds expected overnight and into Wednesday morning.
A low pressure system is expected to move across the B.C. interior tonight and into Alberta Wednesday morning. Low, strong west to southwesterly winds will develop over the southern interior overnight and Wednesday morning, with gusts up to 50 to 70 km/h. Winds should ease Wednesday afternoon.
“Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds,” the weather statement cautions.
